Yes, we have a showroom in Baldoyle, Dublin 13. Visiting is the best way to experience materials, finishes and design details properly.

We offer several styles of services for our clients depending on their requirements including: 

Personal shopping, furniture space planning, furniture design, kitchen design, bathroom design and interior design.

Absolutely yes, we regularly collaborate with architects, interior designers and builders. We’re delighted to join a project as early as possible to ensure the best design outcome is achieved.

Yes, depending on the scope of the project but for many clients it is good to have one person co-ordinating with all the trades required to ensure a smooth installation.

We usually recommend you visit the showroom first to view samples of our collection, touch and feel the materials and finishes and discuss your project and get an initial quotation. If you wish to proceed with an order, we will arrange a home visit to measure up and finalise any details.

PRICING

First book a showroom appointment.  If you are looking for furniture to fit a particular space, bring along your measurements or architectural plans so that our designers can guide you through the options and prepare a detailed quotation with drawings.

All initial consultations at the LOMI showroom are free of charge. Advice, design and pricing of furniture, lighting, rugs etc are also free of charge.

Some items can be quoted on the spot. If you need a quotation that requires the input of one of our designers and designed specifically for you then a proposal usually takes 7 to 10 days from your initial consultation.

A kitchen or bathroom design will take longer as it is a more complex process and depends on the scale of the project and requirements of the client.

DELIVERY & AFTERCARE

Lead times for delivery vary depending on your order.

Small orders for lights, rugs etc will typically be 6 – 8 weeks. Loose furniture is typically 8 – 12 weeks while fitted furniture, doors and kitchens are 10 to 16 weeks. 

You will be advised of the relevant lead time when placing your order.

All orders are delivered, unpacked, assembled or installed as required by the LOMI in house team. We also clean up and remove all package waste for recycling.

While LOMI Design are not qualified in plumbing or electrical trades we do collaborate with some great companies and can organise these for our clients.

Yes, we provide aftercare support and guidance on maintenance of your furniture or bathroom or kitchen. We also provide a call out service for any small adjustments or tweaks you may require.

Kitchens

A contemporary kitchen design does not need an island to be successful. If space is tight consider a peninsula style island, a galley style design or U-shape solution. 

LOMI Design would always recommend drawers over doors to achieve the best functionality. Drawers are much easier to use, with better access to all corners, and provide better space for organisation.
The best layout is the one that best suits your space. That could be L-shaped, U-Shaped or galley style. At LOMI Design we review every space and advise on the best use of space to create the best workflow and layout. As a result, every kitchen layout is unique to our client’s needs.

A con

A luxury kitchen does not have to be custom made but often is. A bespoke kitchen design will meet your personal requirements and create a kitchen tailored to how you cook and live.

For the best luxury finish you will need to invest in premium quality materials. This is more costly, but it is a long-term investment which will give you a kitchen with enormous longevity.

If you love to cook and covet a modern minimalist kitchen with commercial or restaurant kitchen vibes where form and function are the core design principals than an industrial kitchen style is exactly what you need.

Not at all. A modern industrial style kitchen designed well with the right detailing, stylish appliances and combination of materials can be warm, inviting and the heart of the home.

There are several elements that really make an industrial kitchen design work. Some to consider are an island on legs, stainless steel work tops with integrated appliances, metallic finishes for doors or drawers and some richly grained wood elements.

 

Choose a neutral colour scheme and combine with flat plain handless doors and doors. Integrate all appliances and use close away areas to hide all your clutter so worktops are clear.

While white is a popular choice for a minimalist kitchen other colour options can work just a well. Good examples are black, grey and even yellow or red.

A minimalist kitchen is timeless, calm and ordered design. This makes it super functional, easy to clean and easy to use. 

All kitchens require five main appliances, oven, hob, fridge, freezer and dishwasher. Everything else is dependent on your lifestyle and budget with appliances such as microwave, coffee machine and wine fridge being popular.

Downdraft hobs offer a wonderfully clean aesthetic with space saving design and easy maintenance which is ideal in a contemporary kitchen.

If you value speed, convenience, and an elegant kitchen design a boiling water tap can be a worthwhile addition to your kitchen.

LIVING

Storage & Media

The furniture solutions from LOMI design are designed for seamless tech integration. Key features include integrated cable management systems to conceal wires, ventilation to prevent component overheating, and often specialised compartments sized for soundbars and media consoles, ensuring a clean, uncluttered aesthetic.

At LOMI Design our media units are structurally robust, built with reinforced frames to support large, contemporary tv screens. We offer both low style units perfect for sit on top TV placement and taller units designed for wall-mounted TVs, where the furniture acts as the decorative backdrop.

Yes, at LOMI Design we design TV and feature media walls to suit your space, material and finishes preferences and technical requirements. Floor standing or wall hung it is bespoke, and custom made for you.

BOOKCASES

It depends entirely on your space and lifestyle. A well-considered built-in bookcase provides a cohesive room design. It recedes into the walls and makes the most of the space from a storage capacity viewpoint. A free-standing bookcase is ideal for minimal book storage and maximum display of decorative objects including the bookcase itself.

Before choosing a bookcase for your space think about how you plan to use it. If you can plan the layout of the shelves before ordering it then a fixed shelves design will work for you. If however, you need to be able to make regular changes to the layout then choose adjustable shelves instead. Not sure either way then a custom design can include for a little of each.

Some freestanding bookcase models that are finished on all sides are suitable for use as room dividers and work well. At LOMI Design we also offer bookcase room dividers that are fixed to floor and ceiling for a more permanent style usable wall.

SOFAS

At LOMI Desing our sofas feature solid wooden, or steel frames reinforced for durability with a mix of woven elastic banding, webbing and in some models coil springs, topped with high-density foam and often layered with natural feathers or down for a balanced blend of support and luxurious softness. Exact construction varies depending on the model.

We recommend measuring your space and considering the function of the room. For large, open-plan areas, a generous, deep L-shaped or U-shaped modular sofa works well. For smaller spaces, a classic three-seater sofa or a compact two-seater paired with an compact armchair maintains an open feel. At LOMI Design we help you plan the perfect configuration.

A modular sofa system allows you to create a sofa to fit your space in a shape to suit your requirements. With a large selection of individual components to choose from such as arms, seat units, legs, corner units, chaise longues etc. you can create exactly what you need. This allows you maximum flexibility to adapt the sofa size and shape to any room layout, now and in the future.

ARMCHAIRS

An all-matching sofa suite is not typical in luxury interiors. The best approach is for the armchair to complement the sofa.  Contrast textures or shapes. If your sofa is large and linear, choose an armchair with a softer, curved silhouette. If your sofa is upholstered in leather, choose a velvet or textured fabric for the armchair to add depth and interest to the room.

While many of our armchairs’ models feature removable fabric covers on the cushions, the main frame cover is often fixed to maintain the chair’s tailored silhouette. We do provide detailed care instructions for each specific fabric or leather finish to ensure longevity.

Every luxury armchair is built on a robust internal frame, typically constructed from solid hardwood and sometimes from steel. This foundational quality ensures structural integrity and stability for decades. Legs are often finished in elegant materials like polished chrome, brushed brass, or solid wood.

DINING

Tables

Dining tables with pod bases are very popular and practical for families or those who like to entertain. It is so easy to add extra chairs around a table without table legs getting in the way. And equally important is ease of maintenance when you have no legs to clean around.

At LOMI Design the bases of all our dining tables are precision-engineered for maximum stability. They are often crafted from heavy-gauge metals, solid wood, or structural marble/stone, ensuring they can safely and securely support even the heaviest and largest tabletops.

For homes that are tight on space and only in need of a large dining table on special occasions an extending table is the best solution. At LOMI Design with have extending tables in many sizes with pod or leg style bases.

Chairs

A good quality chair can have a metal or solid wood construction which offers weight and strength. Combined with high tech foams, elastic banding and high-quality fabric or leather upholstery these chairs should last a lifetime.

At LOMI Design we offer chairs in any fabric or leather that you require. You can select from our large collection of coverings, we can source new options, or you can supply your own fabric.

Apart from the style, comfort is essential. Good high-quality chairs are designed with excellent ergonomics to ensure they offer support in all the right places. A padded seat and lumber support are a must for those long family mealtimes.

STOOLS

Many high stools come in a choice of two seat heights to work with varying kitchen island top heights. You can also get stools with adjustable gas piston operated seats for varying the height. Be sure to check the heights to get the best option to work with your kitchen.

The best high stools are those that combine comfort and style. If space is at a premium go for a no or low back stool that tucks away under the counter. If lots of space is available choose a stool with a high back for maximum comfort. 

A good quality height adjustable stool includes a heavy weighted base with a gas piston mechanism for seat height adjustment. They are more expensive than standard stools but offer flexible use to suit all ages, good comfort and with the swivel seat are good for social interaction. If these elements are important to you then yes, they are certainly worth it.

Cabinets

Absolutely. Sideboards are versatile pieces. In the dining room, they function perfectly for china and linens. In the living room, they serve as elegant consoles or low media storage. Perfect in large entrance halls or bedrooms to store shoes and accessories.

Yes. Many sideboards are designed with the modern home in mind, featuring discreet cable management access points in the back panel and ventilated compartments. Doors often include specialised features to allow remote signals to pass through while keeping equipment visually hidden.

BEDROOM

HINGED WARDROBES

Luxury hinged wardrobes are defined by superior materials, precision engineering, and extensive customisation. This includes thicker, high-quality structural panels, concealed hinges, soft-close mechanisms, bespoke internal fittings, and a wide array of premium finishes like lacquers, veneers, and glass. They are designed to look and function like fine furniture.

While sliding doors save space on door opening, hinged doors are often better for accessing the entire contents of the cabinet simultaneously. For smaller spaces, we recommend shallower units or careful planning to ensure there is enough clearance to open the doors fully.

Many of our hinged wardrobes can be designed with a handleless aesthetic. This is achieved using push-to-open mechanisms or recessed integrated handles (such as a subtle groove or lip) carved into the door edge, maintaining a sleek, minimalist facade. All are very practical solutions.

SLIDING WARDROBES

Yes, at LOMI Design we can design corner wardrobes with sliding doors. 

These are custom made to fit your space.

Yes, at LOMI Design it is possible to order a wardrobe design with sliding doors that close with a flush flat appearance.

The best accessories that define luxury functionality include pull-out trouser racks and belt racks, jewellery trays and dedicated compartments, Glass-fronted drawers to view contents instantly and finally built-in laundry hampers or shoe baskets are a wonderful addition.

DRESSING ROOMS

While walk-in wardrobes can be designed for most spaces, a truly comfortable design that allows two people to use it and includes a central storage island often requires a minimum space of around 3.5m x 3.5m. However, a functional U- or L-shaped dressing room can be designed in spaces as small as 2m x 2.5m.

A walk-in wardrobe typically includes a mix. Open shelving creates a boutique aesthetic, making items easy to see and access. Closed drawers and cabinets are used for garments and smaller accessories that need protection from dust or sun light offering a clean, tidy appearance.

Sophisticated integrated LED lighting is essential for any modern walk-in closet. Our options include vertical led strip lighting (within the wardrobe structure), shelf lighting (to illuminate clothing below) & automatic drawer lighting (that turns on when the drawer is opened).

BEDS

What is the best style of bed base to buy?

Many beds with storage have difficult to use pull out drawers. At LOMI Design the functionality is achieved with high-quality, gas-lift mechanisms that make lifting the mattress effortless, providing expansive, easy-to-access storage beneath the sleeping area.

It depends on the style of the bed frame. Some have fixed fabric or leather covers. At LOMI Design most of our upholstered bedframes have fully removable covers for cleaning or you can order additional covers for a fresh new look when you want to change the colour.

storage Units

Yes, many of our luxury pieces are bespoke and highly customisable. You can choose from standard module sizes or specify dimensions, select from an extensive range of materials and finishes, and often customise the handle style or material to perfectly match your interior design vision.

Many of our contemporary bedside units and chests of drawers offer modern functionality. You can often choose to integrate features like wireless charging pads, discreet USB ports, and LED lighting.

To choose the best height you must first check the height of your bed including the mattress. Ideally the bedside unit should be the same or slightly below the height of the dressed bed. 

BATHROOM

vanity Storage

What you choose depends upon how you live. Showers are an efficient use of water, are better for thorough cleansing and suit smaller spaces. Baths are great for relaxation, bathing children and add a sense of luxury to a larger room. If you can include both that’s everything covered.

Marble absorbs heat slowly but retains it longer than other materials. This ensure that you get to soak in your warm luxury bath for much longer.

Yes, at LOMI we design and install single or multi panel shower screens and doors up to 300cm in height. The frames are custom made in a selection of finishes and fitted with a choice of glasses.

BRASSWARE & MIRRORS

At LOMI we supply taps, bath and shower fittings that are made with 100% stainless steel. It is an excellent material that does not corrode and is designed to last forever. Many models are also available in PVD finishes gold, black or bronze. So, there is something for everyone.

Yes, we design bathroom storage units for recessed spaces and mirrors with or without LED lighting in any size required.

Apart from choosing a style and finish that works with your décor also consider the water pressure, scale and size of the shower area. A large rain style shower will not work well in a compact shower cubicle. A flexible shower head with adjustable spray would be a better option. Take advise, take your time and choose carefully.

interior Doors

At LOMI we supply custom made hinged, sliding, pivot and folding interior doors in wood and aluminium with glass panes.

Choose from a range of styles or allow us design something unique for you.

Sliding pocket doors have made a big return to interior design with two definite style directions. Seamless plain doors that recede into the background or Crital style glass doors for drama and luxury. 

All options are available at LOMI.

The tallest doors we supply are 310cm in height and 200cm in width.  Sizes possibilities vary depending of the door style selected.

room Dividers

Room dividers are a great way of dividing up a space without building any permanent structures.

This allows for easy changes and flexible living.

That really depends on your needs and available space. If the room is tight then keep the room divider simple and let it just divide the spaces. If however, the room is large than make the most of it and create a furniture element that’s useful for storage and displays your personality

No, a room can be divided into useful zones in many ways. A low bookcase, a long console table or even free-standing folding screen can all work wonderfully if chosen carefully.

Wall Panelling

Yes, at LOMI we custom design furniture solutions combined with wall panel designs to create feature walls for TV and audio systems or to include hidden doors to other rooms.

Wall panelling is a very popular addition to any interior but apart from the aesthetics if it is made with high quality materials it also helps with soundproofing, and insulation. 

Not at all. Wall panels can be used in small amounts if combined with a built-in furniture storage unit, a desk or to create a headboard in a bedroom. It is a very versatile interior design element.

Lighting

The best way to start with lighting is to understand the purpose of each room and choose lights that support the functions required. For example, a living room benefits from table or floor lamps that can be dimmed to match the required ambience whereas a kitchen requires a good bright general lighting and specific areas with task lighting

The most successful interiors always include some lighting elements that are full of personality. A table lamp can be your art piece as well as your lamp. 

Don’t be afraid to add colour, textures and a little bit of fun.
