Stainless Steel - Surfaces made from stainless steels are especially popular with enthusiastic chefs. They are synonymous with timeless elegance, they are hygienic and they look extremely professional.
Granite worktops manufactured by SANTOS are made carefully selecting the most suitable types of stones for use as a work surface. As these are 100% natural materials, they have a certain level of porosity and tonal change which varies depending on the type of granite used for the worktop. Granite is an igneous rock formed by liquid magma from inside the earth forcing itself between existing layers of rock and eventually cools down to a solid state. The main trace elements of magma are quartz, feldspar and mica.
Ferrostone Quartz worktops, exclusive to SANTOS, are ideal for use as kitchen work surfaces. They are unaffected by the common acids & alkalis which are typically found in kitchens, such as citric acid, vinegar or soap. They are easy to maintain, resistant to scratching and are non-porous; resisting staining by tea, coffee, red wine etc.
Wooden worktops most important characteristic is the warmth it adds to a kitchen. The Santos wood worktop is a board made up of a number of joined solid wood slats, available in three tones. On special request LOMI can offer completely bespoke wooden worktops. LOMI recommend woos only as a secondary or complimentary worktop material in a contemporary kitchen.
